Conway Litigation is Pleased to Announce Two New Partners: Julie Mouris and Chris Trivisonno
Julie and Chris have joined the partnership effective January 1, 2024. They are leaders within the firm and the bar who bring further depth to our expertise in all areas of civil litigation and dispute resolution, including commercial litigation, public law litigation, and appellate advocacy.
Julie has a fully bilingual civil litigation practice in commercial, public and administrative law, as well as appellate advocacy. She has experience in a variety of litigation matters, ranging from disputes in contract, insurance coverage and defamation to administrative proceedings, judicial reviews and appeals. Julie also advises clients on regulatory compliance matters. Since 2020, Julie has taught the civil litigation module for the French Law Practice Program at the University of Ottawa, and she is currently Deputy Editor for The Advocates Society’s Keeping Tabs publication. Julie initially joined the firm after clerking for the Honourable Jocelyne Gagné at the Federal Court.
Chris joined Conway in 2020, after practicing at a leading litigation boutique in Toronto and a major full service firm in New York. Chris has a broad civil litigation practice with a focus on commercial litigation, including shareholder disputes, professional negligence, arbitration, securities, and insolvency litigation. He has a particular expertise in navigating business disputes involving families and long-term business partners. Chris has successfully represented clients at trial in the Superior Court of Justice and on appeal to the Divisional Court and Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as before arbitrators and administrative tribunals. He is a tenacious and practically minded lawyer who works both to find early solutions and to advance cases efficiently towards trial, where he is experienced and adept in advancing his clients’ interests.
