Bio

Sean is an articling student who recently obtained his common law J.D. from the University of Ottawa. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice & Public Policy from the University of Guelph.

Sean approaches legal problems with a passion for innovation and advocacy. While completing his undergraduate studies, he worked as an advisor for off-campus students who were involved in disputes with their landlords. In law school, Sean competed in several mooting competitions, including the Nelligan moot where he was awarded the best factum prize, and the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Competition where he ranked fifth among 400 teams worldwide. Sean’s mooting success earned him an opportunity to present at the 2023 East Region Solicitors Conference on the duty of good faith in contracts.

Beyond mooting, Sean continues to expand his legal curiosity by seeking out unique research opportunities. Throughout his studies, he completed a Technoship assessing the legal impacts of urban smart cities on individual privacy rights, and a case study of appellate jurisprudence related to the tort of intrusion upon seclusion and data breaches in Ontario. Sean is a forward-thinker who enjoys learning new and developing fields of law.

In his free time, Sean can be found hiking the Canadian Rockies, reading mystery novels, and playing sports; of which basketball is his favourite.
