Joseph Rucci

Joe is developing a broad litigation practice in commercial, public, and administrative law. Prior to joining Conway as an associate, Joe completed his articling placement with the firm as a candidate in the Programme de pratique de droit.

Joe graduated from the Faculty of Law at McGill University on the Dean’s Honour List with degrees in common and civil law. During his legal studies, Joe was the recipient of the J.S.D. Tory Writing Award for excellence in legal writing and research. He also served as a research assistant, conducting research into the historical development of public international law.

Before being called to the bar, Joe worked as a paralegal at a New York boutique law firm and interned as an interpreter at a municipal court. He also attended McGill University for his undergraduate studies, where he earned an Honours degree in English and Italian Studies.

Outside of the office, Joe enjoys playing tennis, revisiting old school Italian cinema, and learning new languages. Being a native New Yorker, he is on the constant lookout for the perfect pizza and bagel in his new home of Ottawa.
