Chris Zhang
Bio
Chris is a summer student and JD candidate at Queen’s University, where he has developed a strong interest in litigation and public law. He holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, where he studied criminology and political science.
Prior to law school, Chris has advocated for his family and community. He volunteered at his local constituency office in Burnaby, BC, where he helped organize large-scale community events and outreach initiatives. He has held leadership roles in student orientation and mentoring at both the University of Toronto and Queen’s.
In law school, Chris has pursued his interest in advocacy by competing in the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law Moot. He has received four course prizes and completed Queen’s International Law Program with merit, studying public international law, international humanitarian law, and refugee law while visiting institutions such as the ICC, ICJ, and the United Nations.
In his free time, Chris enjoys visiting museums, whale watching, and can often be found with his head craned towards the sky at airshows.
