Bio

Charlie is a second-year law student, currently obtaining his J.D. and LL.L. at the University of Ottawa. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Political science and History from the Université de Saint-Boniface. His ambition, persistence, and thoroughness have led him to excel in his studies, receiving many academic achievements, including two scholarships from the University of Ottawa.

Throughout his studies, Charlie has developed a strong and adaptable skill set well suited to a rigorous legal environment. His academic experience has equipped him with strong research, writing, and analytical skills, which he applied and expanded within the context of an internship with la Fédération des associations de juristes d’expression française de common law. While Charlie is interested in most areas of law, he is particularly fascinated by public law and the political-legal landscape.

Charlie is driven by a strong sense of initiative and curiosity, leading him to take on leadership roles and embrace achievements in and outside of his school commitments. This includes his participation in academic competitions, his recent publication in the Journal of Parliamentary and Political Law, and his engagement to numerous student-led clubs, such as the Common Law Outdoors Club. Above all, he enjoys finding creative ways to dive deeper into his studies and making the most of every learning opportunity.

In his free time, Charlie can be found cycling, baking, or juggling in the park. He also enjoys the occasional handstand and is learning to unicycle.
